Rasas from Photos
In this activity, students work alone, pairs or groups of three. The goal is for the students to select photos that represent each of the different Rasas. 8 Rasas, 8 photos. The work we did in these videos was with National Geographic magazines, simply because I had inherited hundreds of them from other teachers, and it was fun for students to go through physical photos rather than using the internet. Plus, the photos seemed to scream Rasas. However, any source for photos you have will work.
The worksheet images below outline the process. Once the groups completed the worksheet we used a document reader to project the images and students shared their photos and the rasas they thought the Rasas represented. The second step, as demonstrated in the video examples, was for the groups to create short scenes based on the photos and rasas.
